Re-awaken to Spring! I love spring. Every year I feel like I've just emerged from a dark cocoon. This year is especially noteworthy for me on so many levels - physically, spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. It's not that I was dead in these aspects, but the last year has had quite some challenges. Although some of the challenges have not fully played out, I emerge refreshed, with renewed optimism. And realistic optimism is a rare commodity, especially if you pay attention to the news. However, a lesson I have learned and cultivated is to consciously "play with" changing perspectives. It's not an easy thing to do. But if we want our creativity to flourish and produce, it is an essential skill/habit. An effective way to do that is by reading. As you read our newsletter, I hope that for a few moments, that happens for you - you take a brief pause, and consider the meaning for you in your life. As a matter of fact, even our products and courses can do that for you. It's one thing to complain about what is not working in your life or job, but it is another thing to actually take action. So, what action will you do to re-energize yourself and your brain this spring? I encourage you to read through the articles and consider their meaning. But most importantly, take some new action as a "symbolic gesture" for your spring renewal. Why not start with one of our online courses, or one of our audios? Re-Awaken to Spring! Using Metaphorical Perspectives Have you ever worked on a nagging problem and gotten stuck on how to best define it, or even more difficult, how to understand and solve it? Do you ever find yourself having difficulty seeing the forest for the trees in how you think about the problem? Here’s a breakthrough technique that can quickly provide insight.
Binaural beats have been used throughout history to achieve altered states of consciousness. With the advent of the digital age and binaural frequency harmonics, these beats have been used in audio format to produce profound changes in consciousness and to achieve seemingly "super-human" feats of mind and body. These beats are used by nearly every type of individual from practitioners of meditation to top-secret government officials. If you have a poor performer, does s/he really know how you view the performance? Confronting poor performers is not an easy task for a manager to do well and maintain motivation at the same time. Here are some useful tips.
6 Speed Reading Myths Debunked There is so much misinformation about speed reading that as a user for over 30 years, and as an instructor of tens of thousands of learners from all walks of life and all levels of education, I feel compelled to debunk some of the most prevalent and popular myths. However, before we begin, it is essential to define what is reading. |
